Buddha according to A. Tikhomirov’s dream book
Buddha in a dream is a harbinger of your plans, which can be managed with the help of a person with whom you have a bad relationship. All you need to do is change your own perception of life and reconsider your desires.
A Buddha statue in a dream symbolizes the absolute unconscious, support and wisdom. Your life is full of opportunities, and many things will bring profit.
If you looked at a Buddha statue in a dream, it means that some of your problems are related to the fact that you are unable to share your emotions with others. Also, a dream about Buddha is a reflection of a strong and influential person who will soon disappear from your life, and whom you will honor and idealize.
Details of a dream about Buddha
The Buddha statue warns against possible negative influences from the outside. A person will appear in your environment who will have a psychological, physical or even magical effect on you. Restraint and compliance will help protect you from stress, fights and the consequences of damage.
The figurine, the image of a Buddha, symbolizes tranquility. You will stop being nervous, complaining about life and taking on impossible tasks. Against this background, reconciliation with offenders, a warming of the atmosphere in the family, or the beginning of fruitful cooperation in the team is likely.
For those who long for change, such a dream recommends being patient. You will have to accept that the coming months will not be marked by radical changes. They will come only after you learn to appreciate what you have.
For students, the Buddha statue indicates the futility of their efforts. You mistakenly believe that the tools, methods or mentors you choose will contribute to your development. If you consider more options, you will gain solid knowledge and confidence in a successful future.
A Buddhist in night dreams personifies enlightenment and renunciation of earthly joys. In the near future, you risk taking up your spiritual development, becoming more modest in your desires and more noble in your actions. Reading religious literature, attending theaters or religious services, or joining a volunteer movement will make you wiser and more humane.
For people who do not balance their desires with their capabilities, the vision of a Buddhist monk warns of future disappointments. You will start a business that turns out to be too tough for you, get into debt, or destroy a relationship with a fleeting affair.
Such a story should inspire scientists to make further discoveries. At the moment, you are on the verge of grandiose discoveries that will shock the public and force you to put an end to previously derived patterns. Giving up your ideas will be the biggest mistake of your life.
The Buddha-child who appeared in a dream prophesies the beginning of philosophical searches. At the moment, you are standing at the very beginnings of knowledge of universal truths that will help you find your purpose and worthy use of your talents. Traveling alone and temporarily cutting off communication with the outside world will contribute to your enlightenment.
People who need to speak out in front of someone have to pray to Buddha in a dream. It is highly likely that you will want to apologize for an unpleasant conversation, tell a secret secret, or confess your love to the object of your affection. Courage and sincerity will allow you to bring your plans to completion.
The path to yourself, or the Practice of natural light
Previous incarnations and dependencies affect all levels of being. Without freeing oneself from debts to Rod and resetting the cyclical program, it will not be possible to achieve conscious visions. The practice of natural light is a feeling that a person experiences at the moment of a meaningful dream. An amazing feeling of lightness, belonging to the collective Mind, peace and joy.
Energy practices are the key to good sleep and lucid dreams
Everyone is perfect, says the author of a book on the practice of natural light, Teacher Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. He says that the main thing in yoga is to achieve a state of relaxation and connect to the global flow of energy.
Here is a meditation for deep relaxation and sleep:
Open up limitless possibilities, allow the Light to fill your consciousness. The Mind and Soul must be ready to accept Knowledge: cleared of extraneous emotions that disturb the energy balance. Then you can not only remember previous incarnations, but also untie complex karmic knots.
In the age of high technology, we are still far from understanding the deep processes occurring in the subconscious. The third millennium has arrived, but the knowledge accumulated in the centers of the world's world intelligence, such as Tibet, is still relevant.

A statue seen in a dream foreshadows a break with the only person you love. Try not to show your weakness, otherwise the fulfillment of your desires will become impossible.
D. Loff wrote: “Dreams about statues are exciting. Whether you stumble over them, create them, or become a statue yourself, dreams about sculpture can be difficult to interpret, but reward the effort with deep insight into the processes that produced the images.
Another scenario for a dream with statues is that the dreamer creates a statue. In these dreams, the statue often represents someone you know, someone you want to control (or some facet of your personality that you want to have). This dream may signal to the memory what needs to be brought up for open discussion in order to find the right solution.
The dream of identifying oneself with a statue is often caused by the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. Since when we dream, we cannot move large muscle groups, our brain assumes that we have become like a statue, petrified. According to the logic of the dream, this is completely reasonable.
Feeling like we are encased in a statue often also means that someone else has undue power over us.”

Italian dream book
Instead of being a symbol of the inner fullness of life, the solution of problems, the image of the Buddha, frozen, lifeless, with a big belly, is associated with the programming of something alien to humanity. This image indicates that in the current situation, a certain strong and definitely negative personality controls, dominates.

Sleep and dreams
People are interested in dreams, they often talk about them and write them down. However, dreams are not always worth it. Of course, in them we better understand the unreal nature of things: we can earn a million dollars and immediately spend it. We have more wisdom in dreams than in reality. Reality seems more real to us only because in it we use our body, speech, and mind at the same time. In a dream, other people are present as if in reality, which enhances the impression of reality. Our dreams belong to ourselves, only the mind participates in them - that is the only difference. What is the state of sleep?
Buddhism often talks about the bardo - intermediate states. In fact, everything except Enlightenment is bardo. Only when we see the mirror itself, when we recognize the timeless state of mind, the bardo disappears, because Enlightenment was never born and will never die. However, any other experience is a bardo: things appear, change and dissolve.
Throughout the day, we experience three types of bardo: the waking state, the sleep state and the dream state. When we leave this body, we also go through three stages. First, we experience a state of dying - when the energies converge in the center of the body and we lose consciousness. Then for a week we retain our habitual awareness from the past life.
Then, when we discover that we have died, subconscious impressions emerge that lead us to the next life. And all this is bardo: something precedes these states and something follows them. They are like pictures in a mirror or waves in the ocean, but they are neither a mirror nor an ocean.
The sleep state can be divided into three phases. Whether we sleep six, nine, or three hours, we usually get through all of them. In the first phase, which lasts until approximately midnight - one in the morning or a little longer, the impressions of the past day settle in the subconscious.
Some believe that great gangsters lead very wild nightlife, having fun with women and doing something forbidden, but according to statistics, this is not the case. The heavier the load of negative impressions received by the mind, the earlier you need to go to bed. And in this sense, criminals lead a completely bourgeois lifestyle. You can check: Al Capone and other gangsters always went to bed early. They need more time for the impressions of the day to be distributed in the subconscious. If we didn't have enough time for this, we would have a nervous breakdown or even go crazy. Therefore, the greater the internal tension, the more important it is to go to bed before twelve.
The second phase begins around one, two or three o'clock in the morning. At this time, difficult dreams may occur, but their cause is purely physiological. It’s just that the body’s energies are so densely concentrated in the central channel that we stop breathing deeply enough. The brain does not receive the required amount of oxygen, it thinks: “I’m dying!” – and produces more adrenaline to get out of this state. We wake up with a feeling of pressure in our hearts, or it seems to us that someone is sitting on our chest. If we have any karmic debts, then they can emerge in the second phase or manifest themselves as interfering with the energy outside. The cause of nightmares can be various difficult experiences in the past: for example, if we fought and killed people.
Before awakening comes the third phase, and it is really important. If we see dreams at this moment, they can indicate in which direction events are moving, say something about our development. Dreams can be interpreted in different ways. Everyone knows, for example, the views of Freud and other psychoanalysts, and some stereotypical dreams can be interpreted at this level. For example, if a woman dreams of a rushing locomotive, a snake, or is carrying a thick branch in her hands, then it’s probably time for her to meet some guy.
There may, however, be deeper messages. We must understand that at deep levels our mind knows what is going on, despite the layers of concepts and fixed views. If a dream seems unusual to us, it means that it is not just releasing accumulated impressions: the mind is thus sending us a message from the subconscious. From the intuitive level, which contains everything, through rigid views and expectations, he transmits information to us at the right moment in the form of a dream.
Dreams have a special, symbolic language. The more a person is pressured by the environment or harsh upbringing, the more difficult it is for the subconscious to convey a clear message. Therefore, dreams can have certain characteristics that indicate what meaning the mind wants to attach to them. For example, color dreams are more important than black and white ones. By “coloring” dreams, the mind seems to say: “Look, this is an important message!”
It also matters how we feel when we wake up. For example, if we have been killing people all night but wake up in a good mood, this does not mean that we have discovered our true, sadistic nature. Most likely, we killed various aspects of the ego, veils and obstacles. And if we helped old women cross the street all night, but woke up with some strange feeling, then, most likely, we were thinking about getting their inheritance or something similar - that is, the matter was unclean.
A dream that occurs just before waking up may indicate the near future; and half an hour before waking up - about what is happening in the present.
Moving upward means that the energies in your body are moving in the same direction.
This is a good dream. However, moving down, falling into the abyss is not necessarily something bad. The mind is king, and if you fly down because you want to help beings, then this one intention changes everything, you become more free.
There are two very important, liberating aspects of dreams. The first is when you do not rotate among pleasant or unpleasant pictures in the mirror, but become aware of the mirror itself. This happens when you dream of Buddhas, when you hear mantras, receive blessings, or see your Lama. To see a Lama is to come into contact with your Buddha nature. If you have such experience, then at the hour of death it will make itself felt. You can congratulate yourself three times: this is a real reason for joy. This is a sign that you are penetrating under the layer of clouds obscuring the mirror and finding yourself in the mirror itself.
The second aspect concerns how to work with dreams. The best thing you can do is to maintain the awareness during sleep that it is a dream. If you were able to do this, you could achieve Enlightenment instantly. Then all veils, blocks and obstacles would fall away, and the goal would be achieved. If you can’t do this yet, then try to develop the ability to transform dreams. For example, seeing a tiger, make a horse out of it and ride it. Try to remember that everything happens in your mind, that you decide everything yourself. This will greatly benefit both you and others.
There is one more thing you can do: transfer the understanding of unreality, the variability of phenomena that you gain in a dream, to your daytime activities. This skill gives great freedom, because people suffer from the fact that they consider things to be real: if things are real, then everything that causes suffering is real.
If you maintain a distance from the events occurring in dreams, if you simply observe and do not consider yourself obligated to immediately react to everything with clinging or fear, then you create a huge field of security around yourself. And if you can maintain this semblance of “Teflon coating” in everyday life, you will be effectively protected.
Everything is like a dream. We consider this world to be real only because our senses do not function particularly well and our minds tend to stick to phenomena. In reality, what appears to be unchanged is vibrating and changing all the time. After all, one cannot even say that it exists at all. However, at the same time we see that things arise from space. Therefore, if we maintain a distance from them, if we manage to be aware of the mirror in which everything appears, the ocean on the surface of which waves arise, then we are completely protected. We have something constant that we can trust, no matter what comes and goes.
I usually tell my students not to take anything seriously, to let things happen, to treat them like the voices of the neighborhood kids, a rainbow, or a radio on somewhere. But if you want to understand what awaits us, you can learn to reveal the meaning of dreams. In this case, when going to bed, promise yourself to remember your dreams, and in the morning repeat decisively several times: “I want to remember what I dreamed.”
Of course, there is a special sleep meditation, but it works with the energy center in the throat, and I do not give it to anyone. If you do not master it completely and there is no teacher nearby, then your speech and thoughts can become a little angry and prickly. Hannah and I did a Dream Yoga retreat with Lopyon Tsechu Rinpoche in Nepal, and for three weeks everything was one long dream, day and night. That was incredible. But we were prepared for this.
So I give you a meditation that works with dreams through clear light, through a state of deep sleep in which there are no dreams. Thus, while avoiding attacking the dream fortress directly, we conquer the territory around it. This is easier because the mind in a state of deep sleep relies on the heart center, and it never makes mistakes. He is very flexible and can handle anything. He's like a cat that always falls on all fours. Compassion in the heart center is so naturally strong that there is no risk.
To learn to perceive phenomena as dream-like, during the day we perform meditations that include phases of building and merging with Buddhas. This makes it much easier to understand the unreality of things. First you allow everything to dissolve, then you build a pure universe, connect with it, then both you and your surroundings disappear, and in the end everything appears in the form in which you yourself want it. And you naturally become the master of your universe. Nothing in it is imposed from the outside, everything depends only on you.
At night you rest in clear light, being space and openness. From it you can look into what happens in dreams. You can observe various pictures and phenomena, see how they appear and disappear, you can work with them, you can take them seriously or ignore them - all this is within your power.
You can put wishes into your dreams that will benefit you during the day - for example, focusing on the promise of a Bodhisattva, on the desire to benefit all beings, on the fact that you want to make everyone happy. If you program your mind this way, it will behave accordingly. If you go to bed filled with anger, envy, malice, or anything like that, you will get the opposite result. In this way, you can store impressions in your storage consciousness that will later benefit others and yourself. Sleep is your good friend, you just need to know what it is and have the keys to it.
- What could you say about daytime sleep? It seems full of space to me.
“I think it’s a type of meditation.” If I take the time to take a short nap before a lecture, it goes much better. Love is good too, but when there is no time for it, I just fall asleep for a while. At this time I see many different dreams, but five minutes is enough for me to drop to a lower level. Then something important happens and a minute later I wake up. It is a matter of reaching that moment when everything dissolves into space and there is enough freedom again.
Dropping below the level of thoughts, into space, is like pressing a key on a computer: information immediately spreads across the Internet, and everything becomes orderly. But we must be aware of what is happening, otherwise it will not be different from ordinary subconscious relaxation. Awareness in this state is the most difficult. Many of my students can rest confidently in clear light at night, but only the best yogis can be aware of the transition between sleep and reality.
— If you receive initiation in a dream, is it real?
- If you feel that it is real, then it is. However, you should consider it only a blessing until you also receive lung and three (permission to use the text and explanations - editor's note). We are surrounded by the force fields of the Buddhas and have access to many enlightened aspects. We have meditated in previous lives, and we are all familiar with this. So this can be considered a real initiation, unless the Buddhas say strange things that do not correspond to common sense, do not demand: “Beat him!” or “Jump out of the window!”
— How does karma work in dreams and is it possible to create it in them?
“Only the mind is involved in dreams, so the karma created is not so strong. However, everyone forms habits in the mind. There is such an old story. One woman dreamed that the devil wanted to sleep with her. She agreed with the words: “It’s just a dream, let’s have fun!” A Buddhist woman had a similar dream; she was being harassed by some demon. However, she decided: “This may leave imprints on my mind,” and refused him. If you learn to see what is happening as a dream, then everything will be liberated on its own. This look is perfect. Having it, you will no longer fight with negative thoughts and internal problems. You will look at them as animals leaving your mind.
— You said that in the deep sleep phase, energies enter the central channel. Does this feel like the moment of dying?
— During sleep, energies are concentrated in the central channel, but remain in a state of activity. If you hit even a very deep sleeping person, he will wake up. When you wake up from deep sleep or anesthesia, the mind feels the same as before. But if you have gone through states close to death, then returning the body to normal functioning is much more difficult; it becomes, as it were, alien. That is, the dying process goes further: the energies first collect in the central channel and then converge to its center. In addition, when the remaining energy channels are destroyed, it is not easy to reintroduce energy into them.
— When you meet people in a dream, is it possible to contact their minds?
- It’s impossible to say for sure. In cases where it seems important, you may actually be dating them, but you may not know it. We are strongly connected to each other. It often happens that you know who is calling you before you pick up the phone, or you cannot reach someone because the person is calling you at that very moment. If there is a strong connection between you, if you are looking for the same thing, if you are in the same force field, then many events are synchronized.
— You said that in the third phase dreams concern the future. I wonder who might know anything about my future?
— I can tell you how my mind works: I see things in space not abstractly, like some kind of mathematical equations, but directly. I perceive the flow of past and present and have some idea of the future. We usually see this flow where our body is, but we forget that it is part of the unlimited ocean of the mind.
Through a strong desire to benefit all beings (as in the case of the practice of Mo or I Ching divination), one can go beyond the body, transcend the personal level and see what will happen and what has already happened. When I get to this level with my Mo, I just know, “I need to focus now,” or “They need help,” or “What I discovered is true.” I know this because I am currently out of the normal flow.
- If we have free choice, then how can we know the future?
- Yes, we are completely free. And the more good things we do, the more freedom we have. But regardless, at some point in the future something will happen. Looking into this moment with Mo's help, I can only see the general trends that will prevail. This is exactly how intuition works, and this in no way limits our freedom.
